What is the Computer Operating System

www.dinguyblogpost.com

What is the Computer OS ?

The meaning of OS is Operating System . A Computer has been assembled with all hardware Parts . your Computer is now complete. but you power on the your Pc It will not work.  Computer never work only with hardware. It needs a Operating System to get start. The Operating System most impotent program that runs on the Computer . Every Computer must have a Operating System to run the other programs . The Computer Cant work without OS. The Operating System enables to the hardware  . OS make connection with every Hardware Parts and Communication with each other hardware parts.   If you want watch movie or picture that software run on the Computer with the help of Operating  System.
The old Computer system used the command line interface Operating Systems. those are not Graphical use.
In this time almost every computer is using a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Operating System, that is much easier.

popular Operating Systems

  • Windows 8
  • Windows 7
  • Windows XP
  • Ubuntu
  • Linux
  • Android
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows 98

Input Device and Out put Device of your Computer

www.dinguyblogpost.com

What is the in put Device?

Input device is more impotent When we use The Computer.  Some Data, information, pictures and Videos can be entered in to the PC using input device. Exemplary If  we want to make art work or Type letter  using Computer ,  The needed Data (photos. letters, videos,) should be entered using input device.

Input Device

  • Mouse
  • Key Board
  • Mice
  • Bar-code Reader
  • Multimedia Device
  • Biometric Device
  • Touch Screens
  • Adapter Cards

What is Output Device

Which is entered unprocessed data process to Oder and emit by the output device. The Video can be displayed on The  Monitor. Sound out form the Speakers . You can type latter or data sheet using Computer Keyboard ( input Device) and Make it Out using Printer.

Output Device

  • Monitor
  • Speakers
  • Printers
  • Projector
  • Plat panel
  • GPS
  • Head Phones

Keeping mind that

CD-ROM,DVD,Flash Drive and Floppy diskette drive are capable of entering data and Information in to the Computer. but those are  not output or input device, These devices are considered storage devices.

Basic Parts of the Computer

Computer is not a single part. It consist of many hardware parts  and software. Computer is system of many parts working with together. The physical parts, which we can see and touch are collectively on called hardware .Soft ware can't be touched , but software is visible. Computer software contrasts with Computer hardware, which is the physical component of Computer

CMOS Battery

www.dinguyblogpost.com

The Role of The CMOS Battery

Your PC has to keep certain settings when it is turned off and its power cord is unplugged. These settings include the following:

  • Date
  • Time
  • Hard Drive configuration
  • Memory
Your PC keeps settings in a special memory  chip called the Complementary Mental Oxide Semiconductor.
(CMOS) chip. Actually ,CMOS (usually pronounced see-moss) is a type of memory chip. it is the parameter memory for the BIOS. But that doesn't translate into an easy-to-say acronym. So because it's the Important CMOS chip in the computer, it has come to be called the CMOS. To keep its settings, the memory must have power constantly . When you shut off a computer, anything that is left in main memory  is lost forever. To prevent CMOS from losing its information (and it's rather important that it doesn't), motherboard manufactures include a small battry called the CMOS battery to power the COMOS memory. The batteries come in different shapes and sizes, but they all perform the same function. Most  CMOS batteries look like either large watch batteries or small cylindrical batteries.

BIOS Chip

  • What is the meaning of BIOS?  Basic Input and Out put System
Aside from the processor, the most important chip motherboard is the Basic Input and Out Put System chip .This special memory chip contains the Bios software that tells the processor how to interact with the rest of the hardware in the computer. The BIOS chip is easily identified: If you have a non-clone computer(Compaq,IBM,HP, and so on) this chip has on it the name of the manufacture and usually the word BIOS. For example, the BIOS chip for Compaq ha something like Compaq BIOS printed on it. For clone the chip usually has a striker or printing on it from one of the major BIOS manufacture (AMI,Phoenix/Award, Winbond, and so on.

What is the Net Work?

www.dinguyblogpost.com

The network can be consisted of two or more than computer systems linked together. The data can be transferred easily using the Network.  The PC network is Group of Computers. Some examples of recourse which can be shared are documents and printers.

What are the benefits of networking?
  •   Information sharing
The depth of knowledge and experience from can be staggering. Information sharing is very easy with the Pc Networking. Instead of using a disk or USB key to carry files from one computer or office to another, you can share files directly using a network.
  •   Connectivity and communication
The Individual Computers and users can be connected as a local area network. Users can work like one or more then groups. It is possible for network users to communicate with each other using technologies such as electronic mail.

Security

Specific directories can be password protected to limit access to authorized users. Also, files and programs on a network can be designated as "copy inhibit" so you don’t have to worry about the illegal copying of programs

  •  Internet shearing
The  Internet can be sheared in personal network . The every users  who is  working the network can access the internet  .Small computer networks allow multiple users to share a single Internet connection. Special hardware devices allow the bandwidth of the connection to be easily allocated to various individuals as they need it, and permit an organization to purchase one high-speed connection instead of many slower ones

  • Networking helps in sharing of hardware:
Networks help in sharing of different kinds of hardware devices. For example, sharing of a single printer in an office of twenty people is done through networking of wires. This saves lot of cost that could otherwise have incurred if twenty different printers were provided for each computer in use.
